For the third consecutive year, ATC was proud to provide technical and ancillary support for the British Independent Retailer’s Association (BIRA) — this time at the stunning Chateau Impney in Droitwich.
The Event
The BIRA event brought together retailers and supplier members for a dynamic day of conferencing, networking, and celebration. The multi-element programme included:
- Three conferences
- Annual General Meeting (AGM)
- Exhibition space
- Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony
- A live fire artist performance after the Gala Dinner
Venue & Setup
The event utilised two separate spaces at the venue:
- Room 1:
- Morning: Supplier Conference
- Afternoon: Sub-group Conference
- Room 2:
- Morning: AGM
- Afternoon: Main Conference
- Evening: Gala Dinner & Awards, with surrounding Exhibition Space
Technical Provision
ATC delivered a comprehensive technical package, along with print materials such as:
- Event banners
- Sponsor boards
- Exhibition displays
- Floor graphics/footprints for directional guidance

Set Design & Crew
ATC also designed and built two independent sets — one for the main conference and one for the Gala Dinner. Both were constructed to allow quick changeovers in a tight timeframe between sessions.
To manage simultaneous conference activities, separate technical crews were deployed in each space, covering:
- Audio
- Lighting
- Presentation/video
- Spyder control
Project Management
ATC’s dedicated Project Manager worked closely with BIRA, offering production advice and support throughout the planning and onsite execution, ensuring the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
