Themed events always give us an extra dimension to work with, and our recent support for an event by Forever Living Products was a perfect example.
This evening’s theme was Fire & Ice, offering fantastic creative opportunities to use lighting and effects that helped bring the theme to life and create a stunning, immersive atmosphere.
The Brief
Our technical brief included lighting and audio support across multiple areas — from the grand entrance façade where guests were welcomed, to the main party room with a live DJ.
Afternoon Tea Setup
Before the party began, guests were treated to afternoon tea in a marquee. Our setup here included:
- d&b T Series speakers
- Soundcraft EPM6 desk
- Sennheiser G3 radio mic
- Panasonic 65″ LCD monitor for video content
Arrival Experience
The ornate building frontage was a natural canvas for creative lighting. Controlled via a Pearl Quartz lighting desk, we used:
- Chauvet Freedom Par LED uplighters
- Elation Volt Q5E LED uplighters
- Robe Robin 600E spots
- SGM Q7 LED floods
- 75m of festoon lighting
Music at the entrance played through an Allen & Heath QU-16 mixing desk, with a d&b D20 amplifier and Y-Series speakers. For added flair, we included silk flame effect fixtures to visually represent the “Fire” part of the evening’s theme.
Main Party Room
The entrance hall and connecting corridor were illuminated by our Prolight Smartbat LED uplighters, creating a smooth transition to the main party space.
Inside the party room, we deployed:
- Robe Robin 600E spots
- Chauvet EVE E-50Z profiles
- Colorado Tri Tour LED Pars
These were all controlled by a Pearl Tiger Touch Pro lighting desk, ensuring dynamic and seamless lighting control throughout the night.
Additional Spaces
Both the catering tent and drinks tent were fitted with additional Prolight Smartbat uplighters and another 50m of festoon lighting.
Final Numbers
In total, the event used:
- 74 lighting fixtures
- 175 metres of festoon lighting
A truly brilliant night of Fire & Ice, perfectly executed with immersive lighting, quality sound, and attention to atmosphere.
