Silverstone
A sunny weekend in July was enjoyed by all at Caffeine and Machine, where fans gathered to watch the British Grand Prix live from Silverstone.
Our friends at the boutique coffee house, bar, and restaurant once again called on ATC to install LED screens in two outdoor areas, creating an immersive Formula 1 viewing experience.
The Setup
Formula 1 fans gathered in the main car park, where our screen setup brought all the action from Silverstone — a true highlight of the British sporting summer.
In a second, semi-private area known as the Alpine Paddock, we installed an additional screen and audio setup. Sponsored by Alpine Cars, the space featured a display of one of their Formula 1 cars alongside the new A110 road car.
Technology & Equipment
For both areas, we used our Unilumin Utile III 3.9mm outdoor LED panels — the perfect choice for bright outdoor conditions. The Channel 4 broadcast feed was displayed on-screen via our:
- Novastar 4K processors
- Barco Folsom Image Pro II Scan Converters
To add atmosphere, Chauvet Freedom Par Outdoor uplighters brought vibrant colour to the Alpine Paddock.
Audio Experience
A great PA system was key to delivering the roar of the engines and the energy of the commentary. Our setup included:
- Soundcraft mixing desks
- d&b Y-Series speakers
- d&b D12 amplifiers
This ensured every dramatic moment was heard loud and clear across the venue.
The Race
The race was as thrilling as ever. After a first-lap collision with Max Verstappen and serving a 10-second penalty, Lewis Hamilton stormed back to win the Grand Prix.
A perfect result for British racing fans enjoying an unforgettable summer weekend with Caffeine and Machine — powered by ATC.
