With such a diverse programme of events, we were delighted to be part of three Coventry City of Culture 2021 projects. One of the most vibrant was Abundance — a circular procession celebrating light, hope, and freedom.
The Event
Beginning and ending at an Indian Community Centre, Abundance featured stilt-walkers, dancers, and musicians, making its way mainly along Coventry’s Foleshill Road. Our role was to provide technical support at St. Paul’s Church, a key point in the route, enhancing the experience with video, sound, and lighting.
Video
We supplied a Panasonic PT-RZ21K Laser Projector and a 27″ iMac to run the event content smoothly and with high visual clarity.
Audio
The sound system was centered around d&b Y10P speakers powered by a d&b D20 amplifier. Additional support included:
- Yamaha DXR12 speakers
- Sennheiser G4 handheld radio mics
- Midas M32R Digital Mixing Desk for full control
Lighting
The lighting brief called for impactful uplighting and dynamic effects. We used:
- 32 Hex LED panels
- Elation Sixpar 200IP LED Pars
- Elation Volt Q5E LED uplighters
- Robe Robin 150 LED Beams for moving effects
- Chamsys Laptop for lighting control and programming
A Memorable Contribution
This event was one of three we supported as part of Coventry City of Culture 2021, each unique in style and technical needs. Abundance stood out for its energy, community spirit, and message of positivity — and we were thrilled to help bring that vision to life.
A brilliant celebration of culture, light, and connection — and a proud moment for ATC.
